Support The Ohio CPA Foundation and help grow the CPA profession

Nov 21, 2011

With your support, the Foundation’s programs will continue to motivate high school and college students to major in accounting and sit for the CPA exam – making sure there are plenty of qualified accounting professionals in the future.

The Ohio CPA Foundation’s programs:

  • Create a more diverse business environment and accounting profession
  • Inspire individuals to earn accounting degrees and become CPAs
  • Promote financial literacy to all Ohioans

This November, more than 1,000 CPAs and volunteers taught over 9,000 5th and 6th grade students smart spending and saving strategies through FETCH!®, the Foundation’s elementary financial literacy program. You can see FETCH! in action in this video.

FETCH! (Financial Education Teaches Children Healthy Habits®) was created, designed and produced thanks to contributions to The Ohio CPA Foundation.

Your gift to The Ohio CPA Foundation can bring FETCH! to more classrooms next year and support a rich array of programs that are building a stronger future for tomorrow’s CPAs and business leaders:

Junior Achievement (JA) Personal Finance Program matches OSCPA volunteers with local high school classrooms where CPAs teach a mini course in personal finance.

Accounting Careers Awareness Ohio (ACAP-Ohio) pairs high performing minority high school students with business mentors and encourages them to purse a college degree. Nearly 100% of ACAP-Ohio graduates attend college and almost all agree that the program gave them a greater appreciation for the role of accountants and CPAs in the business world.

High School Accounting Career Days bring hundreds of Ohio high school students to college campuses where they learn all about careers in accounting.

ASPIRE! Diversity in Accounting connects minority students attending community colleges and two-year institutions with local CPAs, accounting professionals and faculty to learn about career opportunities and what it takes to become a CPA.

Student Ambassadors are senior accounting majors on 12 Ohio college campuses who build peer-to-peer relationships with other students to encourage them to major in accounting and become CPAs.

College Scholarships provide financial support to students who excel academically and demonstrate a commitment to a career as a CPA.

With your help, we can continue to build a better financial future for tomorrow’s adults and the CPA profession.
