THE ADVOCATE FOR CPAS IN OHIO
 
The Ohio Society of CPAs protects and promotes the interests of members and the profession monitoring legislation and regulatory issues that could impact CPAs, their clients and employers. Working closely with legislators, the Accountancy Board of Ohio, state agencies, Ohio's print and broadcast media, OSCPA actively promotes the image of the CPA and constantly advocates for the future of the profession.

CPAs Outline Financial Strategies for Governor Strickland

In early November, OSCPA's Ohio Budget Advisory Task Force presented recommendations to Governor Ted Strickland for addressing Ohio's financial challenges. OSCPA also unveiled their recommendations at a press briefing for Capitol Square reporters. Task Force Chair Matt Yuskewich, CPA, then participated on a panel discussion on ONN Capitol Square—a weekly public affairs TV program discussing Ohio’s top issues. The work of OSCPA’s task force not only illustrates the expertise that CPAs bring to the table, but also serve as the centerpiece of OSCPA’s efforts to drive budgetary and structural reform in Ohio.
