Special Interest Sections
 |
Membership into a Special Interest Section offers Ohio Society members the opportunity to take advantage of networking with colleagues throughout Ohio who share common professional interests. By becoming a member of a Special Interest Section, you have the ability of tailoring your section to become exactly what you want it be. |
Special interest sections function as an electronic community for you to ask questions, receive advice and share your opinions via e-mail and the section listserv.

Much of the value that The Ohio Society provides through special interest sections comes directly from the feedback from you, the section members. That is why there is an advisory board for each section. Communication is primarily through e-mail so that section work is convenient and efficient for you.
The primary responsibilities of the advisory board include the following:
- Provide periodic feedback on the quality of the section postings
- Provide input and suggestions regarding subject matter to be posted
- Serve as a contact should any section member have specific questions
