The Ohio Society of CPAs Speaker's Bureau
 |
Speaking to local civic groups such as Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, chambers of commerce, women’s and senior groups, provides an important public service, gives you practice speaking in front of other people, and helps you to network with potential clients in your community. |
Speaking Opportunities
The Ohio Society of CPAs periodically receives requests from outside organizations for CPA speakers on topics of interest to a particular group. For this purpose, we maintain a list of CPA volunteers who are willing to speak. Upon receiving requests, OSCPA strives to match CPAs with organizations that are a good fit with the member’s professional expertise and geographic location.
To join OSCPA’s list of CPA Speakers, complete the online form or contact Joe Rosato, member services, at 800.686.2727, ext. 308.
Promote Yourself as a Speaker
As a member of your community, you are in the best position to know the financial needs of your neighbors. OSCPA encourages members to reach out to area civic and business groups and to offer your speaking services to benefit others.
To help you get started, visit the Proud 2B a CPA Web site. It includes resources and ready-made presentations for CPA speakers, and a downloadable toolkit with a comprehensive guide to promoting yourself as a speaker.
