Online Library FAQs
- How do I get to the Online Library?
Go to our Web site, at www.ohioscpa.com. Under the Education tab, select “Online Library”. Login with your User Name and Password and you are set.
- I would like to watch some of the videos but I don’t want CPE credit. Is this possible?
Yes, you may watch as many videos as you want, whenever you want, at no charge. If you choose to earn CPE credit, simply click on the “Take Exam” link to take and pay for your exam.
- How often are the titles in the Online Library updated?
New titles are added weekly. Check back often for new releases!
- I need 2 hours of Accounting and Auditing CPE credit. Are A&A courses available in the Library?
Yes, the Online Library includes courses in A&A, Tax, Professional Standards and Ethical Responsibilities, Specialized Knowledge, and Personal Development. Choose the course that fits your needs!
- I am hesitant about using the Online Library. What are the benefits?
The Online Library is free knowledge with the click of a button. You can learn from your home or office, anytime, day or night. If you missed something, simply rewind and replay. If you aren’t finding the course useful, you can exit at anytime. You control your learning!
- Where does The Ohio Society of CPAs find material for the Library?
Weekly webinars are recorded, as well as popular sessions at our Ohio Accounting Shows and various conferences and seminars. The programs feature popular, highly rated subject matter experts who regularly speak at Society-sponsored programs.
- Can I access the Library if I’m not a member of The Ohio Society of CPAs?
No, the Library is available exclusively to OSCPA members.
- I want to take an exam to earn CPE credit. Can I reference back to the video while taking the exam?
Sure, you may reference back to the video at any time.
- If I do not pass an exam, will my credit card be charged?
No, if you do not pass an exam your card will not be charged.
- I would like to take notes while watching the video. Are the speakers’ course outlines available to print?
Yes, after selecting a course, click “Course Materials” to download any related documents.
- How much does it cost to earn CPE credit?
It depends on the length of the course. 1 credit hour courses are $35, 1.5 credit hour courses are $49, 2 credit hour courses go for $59, and 3 credit hour courses are $89.
- I need CPE but don’t have a lot of time to take the quizzes. How long are they?
There are 5 questions, both multiple choice and True/False, per hour of CPE credit. The quizzes test basic comprehension of each session.
- I was scheduled to attend a webinar but missed it. Will it be available in the Online Library?
The vast majority of our webinars are recorded and placed in the Library. If you missed an event, the Library is a great place to catch up.
- I need to complete my Professional Ethics Requirement. Is there a way to do this in the Library?
Yes, both The Fundamentals of Ohio Accountancy Law with Steven A. Martin, J.D., MBA, (CPA inactive) and Professional Standards and Ethical Responsibilities: Understanding Ethical Shifts in Behavior and Culture with Jerry Esselstein, CPA are available in the Library. Take the course in the comfort of your home or office at your own pace!
