Why should you attend ACAP-Ohio?

Applications now being accepted for ACAP-Ohio 2010!

How to apply for ACAP-Ohio 2010:

  1. Print and complete the application, or fill it out online.
  2. Attach one personal reference letter (guidance counselor, church leader, business person, or teacher - no relatives).
  3. Attach a 200-word essay on why you are interested in a career in accounting for business and what you hope to learn by participating in the ACAP-Ohio program (included in the online application)
  4. Request your school to send an official transcript.
  5. Mail application materials to:

    ACAP-Ohio Selection Committee
    P.O. Box 2016   
    Dublin, OH 43017

Important: Applications and materials must be postmarked by April 2, 2010.  Accepted students will be notified by May 7, 2010. ACAP-Ohio will be held June 20-25, 2010 in Columbus, Ohio on the main campus of The Ohio State University in the Fisher College of Business.

Scholarships available for Ohio accounting majors

The Ohio CPA Foundation has committed $50,000 to support Ohio’s future CPAs through the annual college scholarship program. Application submissions for the 2010 award year are now closed.

Regional committees comprised of OSCPA volunteers will review applications and make the award selections. All applicants will be notified of the results by February 26, 2010. The top regional recipient will be invited to participate in Scholarship Day in April where they will compete for an additional $3,000 award.

All scholarship awards will be paid in July to be applied to the recipients’ fall 2010 tuition and fees. Graduate and undergraduate students are eligible to apply as long as you will be enrolled in the fall of 2010.
