OSCPA begins tax season image campaign

OSCPA is using tax season to drive its ongoing CPA image campaign. The campaign emphasizes the value CPAs provide to taxpayers faced with the daunting task of completing their 2009 returns.

On the flip side, Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray warned taxpayers to be wary of tax return schemes selling “fast” refunds.

“These operations are gouging Ohioans out of hard-earned money,” Cordray said. “It is imperative that consumers protect themselves. Read the fine print and research alternative assistance options.”

OSCPA has scheduled several tax call-in programs statewide to help the public prepare their 2009 returns. This is a critical element in OSCPA’s image campaign as it fulfills an important public service and demonstrates the expertise CPAs bring to the table.

OSCPA’s Proud2BaCPA Marketing Toolkit features several new resources that members can use during tax season to promote their knowledge and expertise.

Financial Fitness Ohio, OSCPA’s Web site promoting financial literacy, features several new videos that address many tax saving tips for taxpayers this year.

OSCPA actively promotes the image of CPAs to Ohio’s business leaders, taxpayers, investors and students alike during tax season and year round, demonstrating the true value of CPAs.
