BWC Safety Leader’s Discussion Guide available
Annually, the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Division of Safety & Hygiene publishes a Safety Leader's Discussion Guide to provide leaders with guidance on meeting safety requirements.
In the 2010 guide, the monthly articles are designed to encourage participation and interaction among your team, as well as additional resources.
The 2010 discussion guide topics include:
- Electrical safety
- Slips, trips and falls in nursing facilities
- Three-point technique
- Talking about shift workers
- Contractor safety
- ICE – In case of emergency
- How did it happen?
- Employee safety orientations
- Basic ergonomics training for construction
- Reacting to a worker’s emergency
- Handling chemicals safely
- Material handling (push/pull)
