2009 Ohio CPA/PAC Silent Auction a resounding success
Despite the struggling Ohio economy, Ohio CPA/PAC’s annual silent auction received strong support this week from OSCPA members. Held during the OSCPA Members Summit & Annual Meeting on June 30, the auction featured almost 60 items ranging from great wines, a CPA exam review course, iPods, and Wii game systems to fabulous seats at sporting events and golf foursomes at exclusive courses across Ohio.
The competitive spirit was present throughout the day and generated almost $7,000 for the Ohio CPA/PAC to support legislators and candidates who understand and support issues important to the accounting profession and business community.
Special thanks to this year’s contributors – auction item donors and bidders – for making this the largest single fundraising event for Ohio CPA/PAC.
