New version of Employee Free Choice Act unveiled
Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Penn., unveiled a new version of the Employee Free Choice Act – more commonly referred to as the “card check” bill.

OSCPA’s Executive Board voted March 24 to formally oppose the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA), highly controversial legislation that was introduced recently in both houses of Congress.

Congress introduces controversial unionization legislation
The Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) was introduced in both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate this week. The legislation, more commonly referred to as the “card check bill,” would eliminate the federally supervised private voting booth process now in place for workers and impose greater restrictions on employers.
