Track your CPE with OSCPA’s online transcript
Group 1 license renewal and CPE deadline is Dec. 31
If you are in Accountancy Board Group 1, your license renewal and CPE reporting deadline is Dec. 31.
The basic CPE requirement to obtain or renew the Ohio permit is 120 credits over a three-year period. New CPAs holding the Ohio permit are required to report 40 credits over a two-year period.
Each licensee holding the Ohio permit is responsible for retaining appropriate documentation for all CPE credit claimed. All OSCPA programs you have attended are tracked in your online CPE transcript on the Society’s Web site. To print your transcript, visit OSCPA’s Education page on the Web site and click on My CPE Transcript.
The Society provides additional tools that allow members to add or edit courses taken outside The Ohio Society.
Professional Standards and Responsibilities Requirement (a.k.a., the ethics requirement)
All CPAs holding the Ohio permit must take three credits in professional standards and responsibilities each reporting period.
A licensee may claim credit in professional standards and responsibilities (PSR) for programs in the following four areas if the course is approved and documentation is retained:
- Ohio accountancy law and rules
- Accountancy law and rules of another state
- Professional ethics for CPAs
- Ethical philosophy
The Society provides a number of options on dates and locations for members to meet their ethics requirement, including many held on-site at all of the Society’s Accounting Shows and CPE Days:
