Senate committee approves SEC nominees
The Senate Banking Committee unanimously approved nominees to the SEC, confirming Luis Aguilar, Elisse Walter and Troy Paredes.
The nominations will be sent to the full Senate, where confirmation is expected.
President Bush named Paredes to fill a Republican slot soonn to be vacated by Paul Atkins.
Aguilar and Walter were nominated to fill the two vacant Democratic seats.
