Three more states pass mobility legislation

South Carolina, Michigan, and New Jersey have joined the ranks of Ohio and 24 other states in passing laws allowing for no-notification, no-fee interstate practice by out-of-state CPAs. All three await gubernatorial signature.

Georgia also passed mobility legislation although it only applies to out-of-state CPAs whose state of licensure has also passed a no-notification, no-fee statute.

Currently, five states have mobility legislation pending: Arizona, California, Delaware, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

OSCPA has been a leader in working with NASBA, AICPA and others to encourage nationwide adoption of interstate practice mobility. For more, visit the Society’s Web site
