Ohio CPA/PAC: An investment in your profession’s future

In today's legislative environment, a strong, well-managed PAC is every bit as important as the capabilities of hired lobbyists, the breadth of the organization's grassroots program and the validity of the issues being considered by the legislature.

CONTRIBUTE NOW

While PACs have been viewed by some as unethical or an attempt to buy votes, they are nothing more than a group of individuals who decide to pool their financial resources and help elect candidates to public office. One thing is sure: PACs are a fact of life in the political process and are here to stay. CPA/PAC gives you the opportunities to ensure that your profession's best interests are represented and your professional future is protected.

Ohio CPA/PAC, the Society's political action committee, is an integral part of our successful legislative track record and particularly the Society's recent record of success. Without a strong PAC, your services may very well be taxed in Ohio. Your breadth of services could be severely limited by an extension of the “unauthorized practice of law.” There are a multitude of ways government intervention could negatively impact the way you practice if the profession doesn’t actively work to help elect business- and accounting-friendly legislators. Ask yourself, how can you afford not to contribute?
