ACAP-Ohio: Accounting Careers Awareness Program
The Accounting Careers Awareness Program is presented by The Ohio Society of CPAs, The Ohio CPA Foundation and the Ohio chapters of the National Association of Black Accountants. This week-long summer enrichment program has two simple goals:
- To encourage minority high school students to acquire the educational background they need to major in accounting or business in college.
- To promote the awareness of careers in business, accounting and as a CPA through the participation and volunteer time of minority role models.
Students who participate in ACAP-Ohio gain real-world experiences during informative workshops, interactive discussions, facility tours and one-on-one mentoring sessions with minority accounting and business professionals. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to compete for college scholarships.
