Types of reviews
Not all firms must have the same type of review. There are three different types of review that may be performed, depending on the program in which a firm is enrolled, and the types of accounting and auditing engagements it performs.
In scheduling your peer review, you have three options from which to choose. If your firm does audits, it will need a system review. If your firm only does compilations with or without disclosures and/or reviews, it must have an engagement or system review. If your firm does only compilations without disclosures it can choose to have a report or engagement review.
After determining what type of review your firm will need, it is then required to choose one of the following review methods:
