Don’t miss out on important member announcements
To ensure that Society e-mails are reaching you safely and not getting caught in your spam filters, we highly recommended that you add The Ohio Society of CPAs to your safe sender list in your e-mail inbox.
Adding us to your safe sender list is easy.
Simply find your e-mail client below and following the step-by-step instructions:
Outlook 2000 and Higher
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Click on the “Actions” menu on the top of your e-mail window
- Choose “Junk E-mail”
- Select “Add Senders Domain.... to Safe Senders List” to add The Ohio Society of CPAs’ e-newsletters to your safe sender list
Or follow these steps:
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Right-click the sender’s e-mail address
- Click “add to contacts” in the short-cut menu
- Click “save and close"
AOL 8.0
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Click “add address” icon
- Verify the sender’s contact information
- Save it
AOL WebMail
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Click on the sender’s name and e-mail address
- Click “add to address book” in the window that appears
- Enter any additional information
- Click “save”
Hotmail
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Click “save address” in the toolbar
- Verify the sender’s contact details
- Click “ok”
*Users may also white-list a sender’s entire domain (everything behind the @ sign) using the “Safe List” feature under Options| Mail | Junk E-Mail Protection.
Yahoo!
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Click the “add to address book” to the right, next to sender’s name
- Verify the sender’s contact details
- Click “Add to Address Book”
Gmail
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Click “more options” in the e-mail header.
- Click “add sender to contacts list”
Earthlink
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Click “add to address book” in the e-mail header
- Use the “address book editor” to verify the sender’s contact details, and click “save”
Outlook Express (6+)
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Left-click the sender icon, or right-click the sender’s name
- Click “add to contacts”
- Click “save and close”
Entourage
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Right-click the sender’s e-mail address
- Select “add to address book” in the short-cut menu
- Verify the sender’s contact details
- Click “save”
MacMail
- Open the e-mail from The Ohio Society of CPAs
- Ctr-click the sender’s e-mail address and select “open in address book”
- Verify the sender’s contact details
