College Scholarship Program


Each year, The Ohio Society of CPAs offers a number of college scholarships through its statewide college scholarship program. Check back soon for the online application. 

Eligibility requirements:

    • Accounting major enrolled at a NCA and/or AACSB accredited Ohio college or university
    • 3.0 GPA or better (overall or in accounting)
    • Completion of intermediate financial accounting or comparable course with a grade of 3.0 or better
    • Student affiliate member of The Ohio Society of CPAs

How to enter:

    • Write a cover letter explaining why you should be the scholarship recipient
    • Include a resume and official academic transcript

What am I competing for?

Students will be competing for one of 11 $1,000 regional scholarships. The $1,000 scholarship recipient from each region will be selected based academic achievement as well as the quality of his or her cover letter and resume. The regional recipients will then be invited to participate in Scholarship Day which will be hosted at The Ohio Society of CPAs in April.

During Scholarship Day, recipients from each region will compete for a $3,000 scholarship provided by The Ohio Society of CPAs’ Educational Foundation. Students will be judged on their knowledge of issues impacting the accounting profession.
